We headed up to Old Bara for the Easter Weekend. Old Bara is a cattle property near Mudgee, which has been opened to camping.

Heading up on the Friday, it was a slow drive up the M1 to the Hunter Expressway. From there it was a good run to Denman, where we fuelled up and had some lunch. Blaze, our Shih Tzu, was able to stretch his legs too.

From Denman, we followed the Bylong way, then up to Lue before turning off to Old Bara.

We had cool nights and lovely sunny days.

Sunday saw us visiting Mudgee, and coffee at Outside the Square Cafe.

We packed up Monday and detoured to Rylestone. Coffee and lunch at The Saffron Kitchen, where we enjoyed the Ploughman’s Lunch.

Fuelled up at Jerry’s plains before heading down the motorway to home.

Normal price was $30 per night.
