We installed an electrical panel under the bonnet to mount the fuses, solenoid and relay rather than try and find spaces around the engine bay to mount them. It seemed to make more sense to use a plate, which keeps everything together and no holes to be drilled in the body.

The fuses are for driving lights, input signals, and feed from battery. The solenoid is for charging the canopy and campertrailer batteries, and the relay is to provide switched 12v to the cab.

Two cables run into the cab (via an existing grommet). One is 6mm twin for 12v, and the other is 7 core trailer cable (3mm) for the control signals.

Cables run to relays for the driving lights, and there is facilities to also run roof lights and reverse lights.

The accessory plate is from 4wd Brackets Australia.

Note: cables still need to be run to the rear for charging the batteries, and to the driving light relays.
