Awoke to the sounds of African music. The Queensland Music Festival was now open. What a wonderful way to wake up. We sat and enjoyed the music from the caravan park.

Headed into town and visited the Waltzing Matilda Centre where we learnt the history of Banjo Patterson and the song "Waltzing Matilda" - performed in Winton in 1895; visited the open air theatre with the worlds biggest deck chair.

Finally visited the Musical Fence - amazing sounds from a fence! After lunch we headed for Longreach.

We stayed at the Gunnadoo Caravan Park.
