In September 2005, we headed down to Shallow Crossing for the weekend. Shallow Crossing is near Bateman's Bay NSW. The property is owned an operated by Jim.

We drove down from Sydney on Friday night, arriving at Shallow Crossing at 12:15am. We took extra time as we looked for fuel (nothing open that we could find) and we had trouble finding the place. We went in from Princes Highway and got lost. We then drove around to the Kings Highway and went in to Shallow Crossing from there. Simple, turn right at the Shallow Crossing sign.

When we arrived, we simply stopped the car, opened the camper and jumped into bed. One advantage of a hard floor camper, 5 mins and we were in bed (no children with us this weekend). The next morning we moved to a nice spot next to the river.

During the day, we were taken for a drive to an abandoned gold mine somewhere in the bush.

Headed home Sunday. A pleasant little spot.
