The reason for our trip to Yarrie Lake was to visit the Australian Telescope Compact Array at the Paul Wild Observatory, and photograph the night sky over the telescopes.

A few times a year, the CSIRO open the grounds to photographers once the gates close at 5pm.

Despite the mostly rainy weather we had been experiencing, the skies cleared for a couple of hours at just the right time for our visit.
