The Aussie Swag Campertrailer Group holds an annual get-together. This year it was at Knorrit Flat Riverside Campground near Wingham.
There were 18 Aussie Swag Campertrailers that attended. We were the owners who had their Aussie Swag Camper the longest, coming up to 19 years of ownership. We picked up our AS new in March 2005.
Knorrit Flat Riverside Campground is located near Wingham in NSW, and is a great campsite.
Located along the river, the sites are reasobaly flat and large. No power. Each site has a firepit. They are sunken, so can be a hazard when walking around at night. Easy to fall into.
There is a toilet/shower block which is in good condition, No lights so take a torch when you visit at night.
Phone reception is very poor, however if you head up the hill to the entrance, you can get a reasonable connection.
Wingham is only a half hour drive, where there are all the shops and cafes. We visited Bent on Food several times, a great cafe.
We also visited Ellenborouigh Falls. Ellenborough Falls is the tallest single drop waterfall in New South Wales and amongst the tallest in the southern hemisphere.
On the way back from Ellenborough Falls, we stopped at the Oxygen Farm. The Oxygen Farm Reserve lies beside the tiny village of Elands (pop. 53), an isolated community situated at 2,000' (630m) on the edge of the Bulga Plateau. With views of the coastal plain and the Pacific Ocean, Elands rests on the eastern fall of the great dividing range astride the watershed of the Hastings and Manning river catchments on the mid north coast of New South Wales.
